Republicans Defeated Democrats for the First Time Since 1998| 2020 Presidential Election
In the times of elections in the US, many competitions are going out there between the politicians. One of the closest game was between Democrat’s Christy Smith and Republican’s Mike Gracia.
Since 1998 no Republican has been able to defeat the Democrats. But Christy Smith has lost the race to Mike Gracia during 25th California’s Congressional District elections. In no time Mike Gracia was quick to mention that President Trump is eagerly looking towards 2020 elections in the US.
Mike Gracia is not a runaway winner in the elections as it was a close contest. Republicans are having a 12 points lead over the Democrats in the special election.
Some of the ballots are not counted yet, but experts believe Mike Gracia will be the winner. President Trump also declared victory of Republicans on Twitter.
Last year Katie Hill had to vacate the seat due to the affair allegations with a Campaign worker. However, she admitted about the affair later and had to resign forcefully.
Mike Gracia was given her seat after the resignation. From then-President, Trump has been vocal for Mike Gracia as he lost his campaign in the district just by 6% in 2016.
Christy Smith is also under the radar as many big names are lined up for the seat like Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, etc. Competition for Mike Gracia is going to be intense in the future.
According to US News- President Donald Trump has been supporting Tiffanny, and Mike Gracia since 2016 and both of them are yielding results after four years. Yes, Tiffany will be replacing Sean Duffy in Republican as he retired back in September 2019.
Since his retirement, a seat in the district was vacant for a long time. Tiffany has also won in Northern Wisconsin District defeating Tricia Zunker.
