Yahoo News and YouGov surveyed in the US whether Bill Gates will use the COVID-19 vaccine as a Location Tracking Microchip or not. Recently, Bill Gates donated $300 Million for developing a Coronavirus vaccine.

This move was targeted by Online Conspiracy Theorists who claimed that Bill Gates would use COVID-19 Vaccine as Location Tracking Microchip with Digital ID to track the patient’s movement.
An effective coronavirus vaccine is at least 18 months away: Bill Gates
In the survey conducted, 44% of the people believed that Bill Gates could use this method for personal benefits. Out of that, 44 % of people, 50% of them watched Fox News, 19% were Democrats, and 24% were Independents.
Out of the remaining 56% of people, 26% felt it is a false statement, while 31% of them were not sure about the claims being made by Conspiracy Theorists. The poll has arisen many eyebrows in the country, and it remains to be seen whether Bill Gates does this action or not.
Experts believe that the vaccine takes a lot of time to be developed, and they feel that it would take 12-18 months to be developed. However, the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, claims that scientists will develop the COVID-19 vaccine until the year’s end. Till then, conspiracy theories will remain theory for people.
Social media is flooded with this conspiracy theory claiming that Bill Gates wants to control the American population. Although, platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Youtube tried to carb the effect of spreading of misinformation about Coronavirus through social media.
